"When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, "I am the light of the world.  Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life." - John 8:12

Do you feel like your life is full of light?  Or maybe darkness?  We have all faced challenges in our lives...but because of Jesus we can lay down the worry, doubt, hopelessness, uncertainty, and negative thoughts.  Because of Jesus we can have hope, certainty, and live a victorious life.  

Jesus is the Son of the one true God.  He came to this earth over 2000 years ago to fulfill all the prophecies of the old testament and pay the price for our sins.  He died on a cross and rose from the dead on the third day to show He has power over humanity.  His message was one of love, acceptance, and peace.  The word of God says, He came for everyone...all people...no matter the color of your skin, the language you speak, your social status, where you live, or what sins you have committed.  Jesus died for all of us!

Would you like this light in your life?  The light that only Jesus can shine in and through you?  Waking up everyday knowing that no matter what happens Jesus is ultimately in control and you can place all your faith and trust in Him!  It is so exciting...and I can promise you the comfort and peace the Savior gives is incomparable!  

The first thing we must do is realize that we all sin.  Every single one of us.  It's in our nature.  And it all started with the first man and woman God put on the face of the earth.  
Romans 3:23 - "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."
Romans 3:10 - "As it is written: There is no one righteous, not even one."

And the price for our sins is death.  There is nothing we could ever do to deserve heaven but God gives it to us when we accept Jesus.
Romans 6:23 - "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Jesus came to earth knowing He was going to be a sacrifice for all the sin of the whole world.  He was the only way we could get into heaven.  He loved YOU that much all those years ago!
Romans 5:8 - "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."

We all need Jesus.  Living life with Him is unexplainable.  It's kind of like trying to describe to someone the beauty of the waves rolling in where the ocean meets land - or the majesty of the mountains - unless someone experiences it for themselves it's impossible to grasp!

Accepting Jesus into your life is easy!  All you have to do is ask.  He is right there waiting for you to let Him in.  
Romans 10:9-10 - "If you declare with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.  For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved."

Romans 10:13 - "for, Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."

Do you want to be saved today?  Do you want this peace, certainty, acceptance, love, hope, and eternal life you have read about?  Jesus is waiting...all you have to do is pray and call out to Him.  He hears you!

Dear Jesus,
I know that I am a sinner.  I know I have fallen short and each day is a challenge.  Please forgive me of my sins.  Forgive me for the things I think, say, and do each day that are wrong.  Please come into my heart.  Come into my life and transform me.  I want you to be Lord of my life.  I believe that you are the Son of God and that you came to die for me and rose from the dead.  I want my hope to be in you.  I want to live a victorious life through you.  Thank you for your grace and mercy.  Help me through each day to live for you and show others how great your love is!  From this day forward, my life will be different.  Thank you for making me new.  In Jesus' name I pray.
